Units, instructor video briefs and knowledge checks. A badge per module so you can see exactly where you are.

Sit the theory examination
Above 75% to pass. If you do not pass, you can resit after 7 days at no cost.

Within 12 months
Practical flight assessment
Up to 90 minutes on site with an assessor — setup, briefing, checks and flight. Certificate issued on pass.

What is the pass mark for the theory exam, and what happens if I fail?
You need above 75% to pass. If you do not, you can resit after 7 days, free of charge.
How long is the Practical Flight Assessment?
Candidates are allocated up to 90 minutes to complete their Practical Flight Assessment. This time includes all on-site activity, site setup, crew briefing, assembly and functional checks.
Is there a time limit on completing my training?
Yes, you must complete the practical flight training within 12 months of completing the theoretical element, to keep your knowledge current with the CAA.
Where can I sit my Practical Flight Assessment?
At one of our four locations across the UK: Burradon (Newcastle upon Tyne), Moss Brow Farm (Manchester), Sandridgebury Farm (St Albans), or on your own site by arrangement.
Do I need insurance to undertake the course?
Not for the theoretical learning. You will need appropriate insurance in place for the practical flight assessment — this is covered as part of your Ground School training.
